To successfully launch ninemsn’s new entertainment portal The Fix we knew we needed a big idea that even their competitors would feel compelled to write about. With Australia gripped by Beckham fever during the week of launch (thanks to him being in town to play Sydney FC) we enlisted Camilla Shadbolt, the UK’s leading Victoria Beckham impersonator to ‘endorse’ celebrity obsession… and her reliance on entertainment sites like The Fix to stay tuned in on all the latest celeb news.

By hijacking ‘Beckham Mania’ and using Camilla in a number of tactical, high profile stunts we were able to generate a mass of branded coverage within but more importantly beyond the ninemsn network.
